Special Directions from Charlotte & Columbia

Centrally located between Charlotte, NC and Columbia, SC, Skydive Carolina has been providing world-class skydiving in SC since 1986. We are the premier skydiving center of the Carolinas.

You’ll find our facilities at the Chester County Regional Airport in Chester, South Carolina. If you’re coming from Charlotte or Columbia, please use the special directions below to get to our skydiving center.

Problems with Online Directions – Charlotte to Skydive Carolina.

We have found that many online directional sites (Google, Mapquest) sends our guests an unnecessarily long way from Charlotte to Skydive Carolina via Exit 82 in Rock Hill. We would prefer our guests exit off of exit 77. The best route is detailed below:

From Charlotte:

1. Take I-77 South to Exit 77.
2. Take a RIGHT off the exit ramp.
3. Within 1 mile the road will fork. Stay on the LEFT remaining on 121.
4. Proceed STRAIGHT for approximately 14.5 miles remaining on 121.
5. Take a RIGHT onto 909 Aaron Burr Road (there will be a sign for the ‘Airport’ and you will immediately cross over railroad tracks).
6. You will arrive at a 4-Way Stop. Take a RIGHT remaining on 909. (You are now 5 minutes away)
7. LANDMARK: 3 Blue Silos. As you round the bend on 909 you will see these silos.
8. Take a RIGHT onto State Road 190 / Darby Road and Skydive Carolina will immediately be on your left.
9. Turn LEFT onto King Air Drive (you will see the large Skydive Carolina sign at the entrance).

Directions from Columbia, SC to Skydive Carolina!

*Many online mapping websites (MapQuest, Google) tend to make an error on the last turn prompting guests to take a right instead of a left. Please note the correct directions below:

Columbia to Skydive Carolina

1. Take I-77 North to EXIT 65
2. Take a LEFT off of the exit ramp onto 9.
3. Drive 2 miles and Turn RIGHT onto 909 (Rodman Road). LANDMARK: There will be a cattle auction place immediately before this turn.
4. Proceed on 909 for approximately 5 miles until reaching a STOP SIGN.
5. Take a RIGHT onto 72/121 Saluda Road, then make an immediate LEFT onto Aaron Burr Road / 909. (You will cross over railroad tracks immediately once on Aaron Burr).
6. You will arrive at a 4-Way Stop. Take a RIGHT remaining on 909. (You are now 5 minutes away)
7. LANDMARK: Take a right after the sign to Lake Oliphant.
8. Take a RIGHT onto State Road 190 / Darby Road and Skydive Carolina will immediately be on your left.
9. Turn LEFT onto King Air Drive (you will see the large Skydive Carolina sign at the entrance).
