Preparing for CarolinaFest 2019

It’s time to roll out the red carpet, glitz, glam, and hairspray as this year’s CarolinaFest is ready to Rock the Ages this May 28th – June 2nd! That’s right – Rock of Ages is the theme and it’ll be a head-banging year with talent up the wazoo because you’re guaranteed to land in tatters after shredding the sky!

CarolinaFest is known for southern hospitality, a rock star organizers, games and epic nightly events. Are you frothing at the mouth already?? We’re months away and the planning is in FULL EFFECT!!

Here’s everything you need to know in prep for CarolinaFest 2019!

REGISTRATION

By now you’ve probably already heard… CarolinaFest’s pre-registration sold out in four days! We’ve never seen anything like it! 400 registrants – just.like.that.

If you’re one of those skydivers who didn’t lock in your ticket in time, don’t let the FOMO overtake you – there’s still a chance to make it! We know that life happens and a few of the 400 pre-registered folks will have to change their plans. We’ve created a CarolinaFest Ticket Exchange page on Facebook. The purpose of the page is to pair up buyers and sellers.

Please note, we have a strict policy against current ticket holders selling their CarolinaFest registrations beyond face value as we think this is against the spirit of our sport (and state law).

Per the usual, the registration cap is at 400 flyboys and girls – this is so we can make sure the wait times for loads are minimal, you get quality time with the organizers, and the overall boogie quality is stellar.

REGISTRATION NOTES

Once you’ve done your air-guitar-solo after pre-registering, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a link to fill out a waiver. You will need to be complete this ahead of boogie time (before you arrive). When you’ve completed the waiver, be sure to add funds to your Burble account – cause if you don’t, well, you can’t get fly! All this pre-boogie effort streamlines the process to alleviate wait times – so thank you!

BurbleMe

Skydive Carolina runs CarolinaFest on the Burble manifesting platform which means no lines at the manifest window! You manifest from the BurbleMe app. If you’re not yet a Burble user, be sure to download the BurbleMe app to your phone from the Apple Store or Google Play and get yourself set up before you arrive at the DZ.

Sigma

Technology is making life easier for us all in the form of efficiency. With the recent announcement of Burble’s integration to Sigma, we will be taking full advantage of this to expedite check-in! #wehatetowait

If you’ve not yet claimed your Sigma profile where your USPA ratings preside digitally, you’ll need to take this step. Once the integration is complete this spring, you can give permission to Burble to access your Sigma profile which will allow our check-in crew to see all your licenses and ratings when you arrive. No more fumbling with expired membership and rating cards and holding up the line! Our aim is to be efficient and to use the latest technology to make it happen!

AAD POLICY

Please note, that Automatic Activation Devices are now mandatory to jump at Skydive Carolina! No exceptions will be made on this policy!

Sponsored Loads Are Back!

Sponsored loads are back, baby!! (That means free jumps for first loads of the day!) This is a CarolinaFest staple and we’re proud to be one of the only events that offers this magnificent opportunity! If you’re interested in sponsoring a load, contact us! Our friends at Sigma were the first to join the sponsored load list along with DropZone Marketing, AirStar Aviation, Skydive Carolina (of course) and others!

Aircraft Lineup

Rev your engines as we’ll have: 3 Twin Otters and a Tailgate Aircraft! Helicopter pending – stay tuned as things develop.

Flag Jumps

The tradition of beginning each day with the playing of the national anthem and a flag jump continues! There is no better way to start the day than with a coffee and a sense of patriotism – man we are lucky!

We’re incredibly proud of having grown this event and keeping the quality. It’s one we enjoy getting ready for and hosting. And we certainly appreciate all of YOU jumpers who continue to come out to make this event amazing. SO keep calm and put another dime in the jukebox baby! We’re excited to Rock the Ages!
