In light of the latest recommendations from the Governor of South Carolina regarding COVID-19, Skydive Carolina has made the decision to suspend skydiving operations for tandem and AFF students to Wednesday, June 3rd. Licensed skydivers will be permitted to skydive beginning on May 15th unless the SC Governor’s office further extends stay in place mandates.
Our greatest concern is ensuring the safety of our staff, guests, and community. Once we reopen, there will be a new set of procedures in place to try and mitigate As such, we feel it is our civic responsibility to do everything in our power to help slow the spread of the virus. Temporarily suspending our operations will allow our team members to practice the social distancing procedures recommended by the CDC, reducing further risk of exposure to themselves, their family and our guests.
We are closely monitoring this evolving situation and making our best effort to follow the guidelines set forth by both the state and federal governments. As soon as restrictions have been lifted, we’ll be ready for takeoff and we will look forward to seeing you at the DZ when we resume operations.
The Skydive Carolina family thanks you for your continued support during this difficult time. Take care of yourself and your family.
