A Letter To The Community from the Desk of DropZone Owner, Danny Smith

2017 marks our 31st year of operation serving the Carolinas and you’d think we’d be easing back a little bit. That’s certainly not the case! It’s a new year and we have new goals that we’re trying to achieve as an organization and a community. We’re highly motivated!

If you’re visiting our website for the first time, or if you’ve jumped with us many times, I’d like to take this opportunity to share a little more about my philosophy on business and skydiving as we approach the new season.

Approach to Business

Though our hangar doors have now been open for more than 30 years, I view our organization as a continuous work in progress. Though the winter is our slow season, it’s an opportunity for me to look at improvements we can make, whether it be our facilities or our aircraft. We have made many improvements and I still have more on my list to accomplish. Through 31 years, my list always seems to grow instead of getting shorter!

I’m also proud to say that I feel we’ve assembled an amazing team of people who are passionate about skydiving and serving our guests, one jump at a time.

We’re striving to be better every year both in safety and operations, and that will never change.

Approach to Skydiving

Skydiving has changed my life due to the adventures I’ve experienced, the friendships I’ve made and the community we have built. The sport has given me more than I could have imagined and it’s important to me that our team provides a great experience for our customer base. I want everyone to enjoy the sport as much as I have.

If this is your first time visiting Skydive Carolina, we welcome you. Welcome to our world; we can’t wait to share it with you!

To those currently learning to skydive, we’re so glad you’ve chosen us to learn this amazing sport. Please never stop asking questions and we hope you enjoy our community as well as your jumps!

To our loyal sport jumpers: it’s you that makes Skydive Carolina so special. It’s not lost on me the time (and money) you spend with us. You are the heartbeat of our organization and I always look forward to seeing you having the time of your lives every week.
