We know what you’re thinking: Jump more than once!? Yeah right! You’ll be lucky if I even get out of the plane the first time!
We understand that the thought of jumping out of a plane more than once in your lifetime may sound ludicrous to you right now. But we’ve seen it time and time again: people land safely on the ground after their very first tandem and ask us immediately whether they can do it again.
Skydiving seems like a daunting task. But once you have completed a skydive and realize how safe and thrilling it is, we guarantee you’ll at least consider a jump No. 2.
There’s a reason why so many people put skydiving on their bucket lists: it’s one of the most exciting and freeing activities you can possibly imagine.
From the nervous jitters you get in the plane and the bird’s-eye view you get of the Earth as you stare down at it from an altitude of 14,000 feet to the exhilarating first few moments of freefall and the peaceful canopy ride back down to the ground, you’ll be daydreaming about each unique stage of skydiving for days or even weeks and months to come.
With skydiving, you will have stepped so far out of your comfort zone that you’ll be consumed with a huge sense of accomplishment. Expanding your boundaries can feel addicting — and your mind will want to grasp onto such a powerful experience.
This may sound counterintuitive, but your second skydive will be more nerve-racking than the first – up to a point. The irony is you’ll be more nervous because you know what to expect. You’ll also enjoy the skydive much more because… you know what to expect!
The ride to altitude will have your heart racing as you now know what happens when the red light comes on; the march is eminent! The strange thing is once you leave the aircraft your experience will be so much better than the first time. The loud rush of the wind and free fall sensations will be familiar to you. Time will slow down which will allow you to enjoy the experience doubly. Skydiving shouldn’t be a once in a lifetime experience especially as the second jump is so much better than the first.
The actual time spent in freefall is just shy of 60 seconds. The canopy ride is roughly five minutes. That may seem like an eternity to you now as a first-time jumper, but trust us, it will go by in the blink of an eye.
While the memories last a lifetime, skydiving just once isn’t enough. Heck, you might keep coming back for more and at some point start inquiring about how to become a certified skydiver!
The more comfortable you feel, the more likely you are to pursue your skydiving license. Getting your license opens the door to a whole new world. You’ll be introduced to a fantastic community of jumpers, get to fly with your own parachute and progress through a wide range of skills.
Licensed jumpers can jump with other licensed jumpers. Together, we play in the sky.
The more time you spend at the dropzone, the more you’ll realize just how incredible the community of people are. We’re an eclectic group of people with an amazing view on life. We love to have fun and share our wisdom around the campfire. Many skydivers look upon their skydiving friends as family.
So really, what are you waiting for? Book your first-time jump with us today and experience it for yourself.
